When you create an account or use ZeroBound, you may provide us with:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Apple's passkey system)
• Debt Information: Details about your debts including account names, balances, interest rates, minimum payments, and due dates
• Payment Information: Records of payments you log within the app
• Preferences: Your chosen payoff strategy (snowball or avalanche), notification preferences, and app settings

Information Collected Through Plaid (Premium Users)

If you choose to connect your financial accounts via our integration with Plaid Inc., we may receive:

• Account balances and transaction history from connected accounts
• Account holder name and account identifiers
• Account type and institution information

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our App, we may automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: Features used, actions taken, time spent in app, crash reports

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Calculate payoff plans, track your progress, and display your debt information

How We Protect Your Information

• Access Controls: Strict access controls limit who can access your data internally

• No Credential Storage: We never store your bank login credentials

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• With Plaid: If you use bank sync features, data is shared with Plaid to retrieve your account information
• Service Providers: We use trusted third parties to help operate our service (hosting, analytics, customer support). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request
• Business Transfers: If ZeroBound is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
• With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes if you explicitly consent

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Portability

You can view all the data we have about you directly within the app. You can also request a copy of your data by contacting us at [email protected].

Correction

You can update your account information and debt details directly within the app at any time.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion:

• Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
• Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

Notification Preferences

You can manage notification preferences in the app or through your device's notification settings.

Plaid Connection

You can disconnect your Plaid connection at any time through the app settings. This stops new data from being retrieved, but previously synced data remains until you delete it.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except:

• Data required to be retained by law
• Anonymized, aggregated data for analytics
• Data necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements

Inactive accounts may be deleted after 12 months of inactivity.

Children's Privacy

ZeroBound is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

Third-Party Services

Our App may contain links to or integrate with third-party services:

• Plaid Inc.: For bank account connections. See Plaid's Terms and Privacy Policy.
• Apple: For authentication and in-app purchases. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information we collect and how it's used
• Right to delete your personal information
• Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Your continued use of ZeroBound after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
